Meagan and Joshua were married on a mild August day at Garden Valley Ranch in Petaluma, California. Surrounded by hundreds of roses in bloom, beautiful gardens, and a joyful gathering of family and friends, they celebrated the next chapter of a love story that began with a swipe, a burrito bowl, and one very long wait for a text message.
From a Bumble Match to Marriage
Meagan and Josh matched on Bumble in December 2018. Josh was looking for a date to his company’s holiday party, while Meagan was home for winter break and decided to take a chance on a cute guy.
Their first date took place at Chipotle in the mall. Afterward, they somehow went an entire month without speaking because each was waiting for the other to send the first message. Josh eventually broke the stalemate and invited Meagan to the movies, and they officially became a couple in January 2019.
They moved in together during the pandemic and began building their life as a couple. In August 2025, while traveling through the United Kingdom with family, Josh proposed — and this time, Meagan did not make him wait a month for an answer.
A Garden Valley Ranch Wedding in Petaluma
On August 15, 2026, Meagan and Joshua exchanged vows in the gazebo at Garden Valley Ranch, overlooking their guests and the colorful rose garden. They later returned to the gazebo for their first dance as husband and wife.
Their wedding was heartfelt, but it never took itself too seriously. During the first look, Josh turned around expecting to see Meagan and instead found his brother standing behind him in a wedding dress. It was one of the funniest and most memorable moments of the day.
Later that evening, their guests filled the dance floor and truly let loose. Even the sprinklers unexpectedly joined the celebration, turning on and spraying several guests and vendors.
Throughout it all, Meagan and Joshua’s affection for each other was unmistakable. Their Garden Valley Ranch wedding was warm, playful, and full of genuine emotion — exactly the kind of celebration I love preserving through candid, documentary-style wedding videography.
