Mira and Daniel were married on September 12, 2026, at Ridgefield in Arcata, California. With redwoods surrounding their celebration and friends and family gathered from near and far, the day felt both grand in its setting and personal in every interaction.
From Old Friends to a Fern Canyon Proposal
Mira and Daniel met through mutual friends while attending community college in Butte County in 2010. They spent years in the same friend group before discovering how much they had in common. They began dating in 2017.
Years later, on a trip from Idaho to Humboldt County, they visited Fern Canyon — one of Mira’s favorite places. Daniel’s mother joined them for the day and suggested a few photos beside a waterfall. When Mira turned around for one of the pictures, Daniel was on one knee. She was stunned, then said yes.
A Wedding Among the Redwoods at Ridgefield
For their wedding, Mira and Daniel returned to Humboldt County. It was a beautiful late-summer day with the first hints of autumn in the air. Ridgefield’s redwood setting gave them room to celebrate, explore, and spend time with the many loved ones who had traveled to be there.
What stands out in their wedding film is the joy between them: the humor they share, the ease they have with their friends and family, and the excitement of finally celebrating this moment together. We found beautiful settings for portraits throughout the property, but the moments that tell their story best are the ones that happened naturally.
It was a pleasure to document Mira and Daniel’s wedding and preserve a day that felt so distinctly theirs.
